The primary objectives of postgraduate programs are the development of sound scholarship and a degree of specialization which will lead to advancement of knowledge and prepare the student for intellectual leadership.
Postgraduate coursework programs at Al-Madinah International University give you the flexibility to study without rearranging your lifestyle. The majority of our programs are available on campus or online so you can study what you want, when you want and where you want – allowing you to advance your knowledge at your own pace from anywhere in the world. You can choose from two options once you have decided to undertake postgraduate study; enroll in postgraduate research or postgraduate coursework.
In pursuing postgraduate programs at Al-Madinah International University, all students are expected to adhere to the accepted standards of scholarly integrity in all presentations, examinations, research, and writing of papers, theses, and dissertations. Each student is responsible for the timely completion of all requirements for the degree. This includes submission of a satisfactory program of study and thesis proposal as well as completion of courses, required examinations, and theses.
Institute Functions

- To propose a general policy for endorsed postgraduate studies including its modification, coordination and fulfilment.
- To propose internal guidelines with by coordinating with university faculties related to postgraduate studies.
- To propose principles for gaining entry into postgraduate programs including program fulfilment and supervision.
- To recommend the endorsement of new programs through careful study and coordination between the proposed program and current programs.
- To recommend the approval of course curriculum for postgraduate studies and matters related to modification or change of program.
- To recommend the titles of higher certificates to be submitted to the academic council.
- To endorse the awarding of degrees.
- To resolve the concerns of the university’s postgraduate students.
- To form supervisory boards to oversee academic theses and vivas.
- To set in place a general framework for research proposals along with the principles that guide academic writing, its production and publication, and models for viva discussion and thesis evaluation.
- The evaluation of postgraduate programs offered by the university by both internal and external university bodies.
- To study the periodical reports on the progress of postgraduate studies submitted by the different faculties, academic council or the university director for learning and innovative thought.
