Vision of the Course:
To aim for an academic Syaria’h educational program of the highest standard, that will establish a firmly rooted knowledge base for the Islamic Da‘wah movement, which will enable it to proceed with clear vision, calling to the way its Lord with wisdom and beautiful exhortation.
Mission of the Course:
- To equip the student with knowledge of the methods, means and principles of da‘wah, in order for him/her to realize the values of his Muslim identity and to embark upon the process of cultivating personal understanding and inviting to Allah’s Straight Path.
- To increase the student’s capacity for understanding and adherence to the values and requirements of faith by virtue of his increased familiarity with fundamental Islamic values.
- To prepare the student with interpersonal and practical skills that will enable him/her to relate to the society at large for the purpose of conveying Allah’s message.
Objectives of the Course:
- To prepare the students with specialized knowledge of the Fiqh of da‘wah, its methodologies and its intellectual and practical principles.
- To increase the students’ knowledge and skills related to conveying the message of Islam and make them capable of conducting academic research on the subject.
- To develop the students’ communicative, interactive and social skills.
Learning Outcomes of the Course:
- Preparation of students to be inviters to Islam with knowledge, understanding and insight.
- Dissemination of Islamic knowledge throughout the world.
- Deepening the spirit of brotherhood and mutual sympathy among Muslims in all regions of the world.
Entry Requirement:
- A relevant Master degree (Honors) with good grades from MEDIU, or any other institutions of higher learning recognized by the university;
OR - Any other certificate that is recognized as equivalent to a Bachelor degree (Honors) or other relevant professional qualification and experience that are recognized by the University.
- A relevant General Bachelor degree (without Honors) with at least one year working experience, and
- If deemed necessary, an applicant may be interviewed and/or required to sit for an entrance test in order to determine his eligibility for admission to a specific program.
- The department of faculty may, with the approval of the University Academic Council (UAC), require the applicant to satisfy additional conditions for admission to a specific program.
Language Requirement:
Arabic Language
Applicants interested to enroll in programs where the medium of instruction is in Arabic must pass the MEDIU’s Arabic Proficiency Test (APT).

- The way of Scholars in Da`wah
- Contemporary Islamic historical studies.
- Intellectual trends of contemporary analytical studies
- The apostles and prophets and their approaches to advocacy.
- Advocacy ways and methods.. a comparative study between the past and present.
- Methodologies Da`wah in the al-Qur`an.
- Orientalists and their Syubuhat about the Da`wah
- Fiqh of Da`wah in providing solution in contemporary Da`wah
- Islamic Da`wah their period and history
- Methodologies of Da`wah through certain times.
** Students are encouraged to propose their own topic in the research area.
