Course Objectives
- Equip the student to become disciples in the Science of Prophet Tradition that also specialized in every basic fundamental of it.
- Strengthen the students in Shari’ah legal knowledge that related to the Science of Hadith.
- Actualizing students abilities in the field of Da’wah and social interaction through commitment of practicing the Prophet Traditions
- Upholding the practice of Shari’ah obligation, and worshipping Allah the Creator of Humanity in conformity with the prophetic guidance
- To warn Muslims against weak and fabricated Hadiths and their negative impact on the individual as well as the community.
Learning Outcomes
- Prepare the student who will be able to gradually attain the highest level of knowledge seeking in the field of Noble Hadith and its sciences.
- Disseminating throughout the world the knowledge of Shari’ah generally and the Science of Hadith specifically.
- Strengthen the spirits of brotherhood and compassion among Muslims around the world.
- To meet the needs of the Muslim community for qualified graduates In the field of Hadith and its related sciences.
- To be able to distinguish between correct and faulty Prophetic traditions and to warn people against the damages of the weak and fabricated Hadiths.
Entry Requirement:
- The applicant should have passed the foundation course offered by the University with a CGPA of at least 2.0;
OR
- Passed Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) with at least two principal passes;
OR
- Attained a diploma accredited by MQA, Malaysian government or the University Senate with a grade of ‘good’ or better;
OR
- Passed Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM);
OR
- Attained Sijil Rendah Pelajaran (SRP) or Penilian Menengah Rendah (PMR) along with work experience of not less than five years and passed a minimum of five subjects of the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM). The student should be a minimum of 21 years of age This is considered a requirement for exceptional cases;
OR
- Alternatively, the applicant will have acquired any degree recognized by the University as equivalent to one of the previously mentioned qualifications.
Language Requirements
Arabic Language
Applicants applying into courses where the medium of instruction is Arabic and where applicant’s first language is other than Arabic, applicants are required to pass the Al-Madinah Arabic Proficiency Test (MAPT).
