We were shown this great and beneficial project by our brother Dr. Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al-Tamimi, May Allah give success to all of us in that which He loves and pleases Him. We paid the university’s building a brotherly visit from the United Arab Emirates. What we saw brought us great joy and all praise is due to Allah and we hope that those good doers will continue to support this center with assistance and help so that it can be a minaret for Islam and Muslims. "Indeed I know about yours and your brothers’ attention in implementing the electronic open university project which will takeoff, insha’Allah, from Al-Medina Al-Munawarrah. I would like to encourage this high concern that you have. I would also like with this letter to congratulate you all and supplicate to Allah to make this project easy and successful.

I was pleased to know that the curricula of the faculty of administrative and financial sciences and the faculty of computers will contain a great deal of Islamic knowledge that will be sufficient, insha’Allah, to produce a generation of religious individuals on the middle and moderate methodology fortified from transgressing in one direction or the other. There is no doubt as to the importance and wisdom of curricula for the faculties of the applied sciences that include a sufficient amount from the humanities. This is what the industrial countries realized in the last fifty years, indeed even other countries such as India realized it in the last years. For example, the Association for Engineering Studies in the United States of America advised that the curricula of the faculties of engineering should contain an amount of the humanities that reflect the American culture that is at least 25% of the units of the curriculum.

It is incumbent upon me and upon others to thank his Highness the leader of Al-Medina Al-Munawarrah region, Prince Muqrin Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (may Allah protect him) for supporting this project. I hope that he will be informed of that. "

To Proceed: On Wednesday, 08/04/1426 A.H., I visited the Al-Madinah International University project, which is built on the distance e-learning system. I was extremely pleased by the great efforts that have put forth in this international university in regards to the strong and concentrated curricula, the selection of faculty members that are working to register the academic subjects, and the attention being given to the quality of delivery, the linguistic soundness, and the authenticity of information. It was extremely gratifying what I saw in this university from tremendous and distinguished effort that aims to upgrade the educational process for its male and female students. What increases the strength of this university is that it is established and emits from the City of the Messenger (may Allah send peace and blessings upon him) the first capital of Islam.

May Allah bless the efforts and keep the footsteps steadfast, and Allah does not lose the rewards of those that do good deeds. And may Allah send blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad. "

To proceed: I was honored to witness the Al-Madinah International University project: education by means of the Internet. I found it to be a great project, and an idea that is indescribable. Indeed the magnitude of the work, and how expansive it is, and the fact that works to spread the Islamic sciences and places it in front of every person all over the world by means of this international network.

This, in my opinion, is an enormous task that none has preceded with, according to my knowledge, because the previous direction of distance learning was concerned with the applied sciences, the computer sciences, and the worldly sciences in general. As for this project, its objective is to spread the message of Islam: creed, interactions, morals, and as a methodology by the means of the time in transporting documented, authentic knowledge at the fingertips of the students all over the world. This is a precedent that can be mentioned for Al-Madinah International University, and they should be thanked for it."

To proceed, I visited Al-Madinah International University’s site, the one that is neighboring and an offshoot of the Islamic University. I had a look at its lofty goals and stages of growth and what it has accomplished from excellent quality curricula that were prepared by trustworthy hands and experienced pens. I find it to be a pioneer trial that places excellent seeds for an organization that is one of a kind, beneficial for the Islamic world, nay indeed for the whole world, because of what it contains from advantages and innovations which were achieved in record time, by the grace of Allah, the exalted, that prepared the honorable Dr. Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Tamimi who dedicated his efforts for five continuous years with great enthusiasm and with renewed determination that never wanes. He did indeed select the scholarly teams from amongst the students, professors, and experts (may Allah protect them all).

I ask Allah, the exalted, to give us success and keep us steadfast to complete the remaining stages and to reward all of those that are responsible for this university which the Ummah is waiting for.
And Allah is the provider of success.

The project of Al-Madinah International University is a colossal project that serves Islam and the Muslims everywhere, and it provides an easy opportunity for those that wish to pursue their Islamic studies in all countries. The authentic Islamic message is established in a shining white garment at the hands of tens of senior professors specialized in the various branches of the Islamic sciences. It also presents Islamic dawah in a modern scientific way that combines between the original and the books of heritage and the modern with the latest means of communication. In accomplishing that they relied upon complete curricula whose contents include solutions to the modern problems and answer the people’s questions. The Muslim individual can be proud of the past and heritage that illuminates the future. Since its headquarters are Al-Medina Al-Munawarrah, in which the state of Islam was established at the hand of the best of mankind, Muhammad the son of Abdullah (may the best of peace and blessings be upon him and his righteous companions), high hopes are set upon it in realizing the Islamic renaissance and informing the message of Islam and spreading it across the horizons. So we congratulate this great project and we supplicate to Allah, blessed and exalted is He, to give it success and to reward those that are responsible for it the best of rewards and to assist those that participate and work on it to accomplish the tasks that they are entrusted with. Indeed He is the provider of that and the one that is able to do so."

Accompanied by a delegation from the College of Teachers in the At-Ta’if region and thanks to the initiative of the College of Teachers in Al-Medina Al-Munawarrah, that planned and organized this visit, we visited the electronic university’s headquarters in Al-Medina Al-Munawarrah. We listened to the beautiful and interesting presentation that was explained to us by the honorable Dr. Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Tamimi.

In it he gave us a clear and unmistakable picture of this newborn idea that is considered to be an opportunity to advance tertiary education and a solution to the problems of modern tertiary education that are a result of the population explosion, the cost of education, the explosion of knowledge which has left universities standing confused about what to take and what to leave. The idea, truthfully, in light of what we saw is a pioneer endeavor. I envision that time will make its roots and its ability to keep with the latest, upgrade education and upbringing, attract those that are aspiring to develop themselves and develop their abilities, advance their culture and their societal centers, and improve their degrees.

On behalf of my colleagues that accompanied me from the College of Teachers in Al-Medina Al-Munawarrah and At-Ta’if, we applaud this idea, which competes with the outputs of the time and the results of civilization, the first of its kind in the Arab World. We ask Allah, the exalted, to give those that are responsible for this university success and that this university well-establishes its feet in world of culture and realizes the true meaning of “international” which it has placed in its name, Al-Madinah International University.
