ASSESSMENT AND EXAM POLICIES

Academic and General Appeals

You may submit an appeal in the following situations:
  1. Leave of absence
If you have enrolled in a course and wish to spend more than two (2) weeks away from MEDIU, you must request for a leave of absence. The maximum leave given to you is one year. You may request for the form online at the Student Affairs website. You may also obtain the form from the Student Affairs Office and you will be charged a nominal fee.

  2. Change of course
You can request to change a course during the first semester of study and your completed credit hours do not exceed 40 credit hours. The online request form is available at the Student Affairs website.

  3. Appeal for rechecking of grade
You can appeal to your faculty to recheck your answer scripts if you feel that you have been unjustly graded. You will be charged a nominal fee.

  4. Re-admission
If you are dismissed for the first time, you may be considered for re-admission provided that you have the potential to complete your studies within the maximum period. The semester during which you are dismissed is counted as part of the maximum duration of your study period. You must obtain the Application for Re-admission form from your respective faculty and pay a nominal fee. The online request form is available at the Student Affairs website.

  5. If you are in the process of appealing for re-admission, you will be required to only audit subjects taken for the current semester, that is, you will attend classes but will not be graded.
