Bachelor of Islamic Sciences (Hons) In Al-Hadith

Course Objectives

• Equip the student to become disciples in the Science of Prophet Tradition that also specialized in every basic fundamental of it.
  
• Strengthen the students in Shari’ah legal knowledge that related to the Science of Hadith.
  
• Actualizing students abilities in the field of Da’wah and social interaction through commitment of practicing the Prophet Traditions
  
• Upholding the practice of Shari’ah obligation, and worshipping Allah the Creator of Humanity in conformity with the prophetic guidance
  
• To warn Muslims against weak and fabricated Hadiths and their negative impact on the individual as well as the community.
  

Learning Outcomes

Entry Requirement:

• A pass in Shahadah Thanawiyyah Ammah examination (compulsory: taken upon the completion of 12 years primary and secondary schools education);
  OR
• Two(2) principal passes in the STPM (Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia / Malaysia High School Certificate);
  OR
• Two(2) principal passes in the STAM (Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia / Malaysia High School Religious certificate) examination;
  OR
• Two(2) principal passes in the General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE) ‘A’ Level Examination (UK Education System);
  OR
• A pass in MEDIU’s Foundation programme with a minimum CGPA of 2.00;
  OR
• A pass in any Diploma recognized by the Government of Malaysia and/or the Senate of the University;
  OR
• Passed SPM/SPMV or at least five (5) passes in the General Certificate of Education ‘Ordinary Level’ (GCE) ‘O’ Level Examination (UK Education System) or its equivalent AND at least 3 years working experience;
  OR
• Any other certificate or qualification that is recognized by the University’s Academic Board as equivalent to one of the above.
  

Language Requirements

Arabic Language
Applicants applying into courses where the medium of instruction is Arabic and where applicant’s first language is other than Arabic, applicants are required to pass the Al-Madinah Arabic Proficiency Test (MAPT).
