In conjunction with the organizing of MY3L Carnival by Ministry of Higher Education recently which took place on 22-23 September 2012 at PWTC, MEDIU has taken the initiative to participate in the program. In order to raise the awareness of lifelong learning agenda to the community, MY3L offered visitors a variety of skills and learning program by various public and private institutions.

In the program, MEDIU has highlighted the importance of learning Arabic language. As to attract the crowd attentions, MEDIU has invited two (2) icons who are furthering their studies at MEDIU, Mrs. Mona Jasman, a deejay and producer of Arabic program at IKIM, and Mr.  Abdul Jabbar Mohammed Kahar, the top winner of Malaysia’s reality show, Imam Muda Season 3. Both of them gave a 15-minute talk in front of the crowd regarding on the importance and advantages of learning Arabic language. They also have promoted MEDIU as one of the best place to learn the language.

Instead of highlighting the Arabic language, MEDIU also invited an Arabic calligraphy artist to the program. The response over the calligraphy was so overwhelming, and some of the visitors have shown their interest to enroll for calligraphy course if it is available at MEDIU.

The MY3L program was officiated by the Minister of Higher Education, Y.B Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin. On behalf of MEDIU, Head of Marketing, Mr. Shahrin Ab. Rahman presented a frame of calligraphy and MEDIU’s merchandise to the minister as when he made a short visit at the booth.
