To administer academic matters efficiently and professionally.

We shall: - Recruit additional qualified academicians and academic administrators. - Establish and implement mechanism for academic quality assurance and control. - Establish and continue to improve main policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs). - Establish electronic academic administration system. - Provide relevant staff with necessary skills to deliver the teachings effectively. - Strengthen academic administration with MEDIU’s Regional Centres, Learning Centres and Collaborative Centres around the world. |

To produce quality academic programmes that fulfill society’s needs and market requirements. |
We shall: - Integrate IT, Finance and business subjects with Islamic input in order to create niches for the said courses. - Plan for the development of at least two new market driven courses based on “Blue Ocean Strategy†that is based on creating new market space rather than competing in an existing industry. - Tailors made and further develop some existing courses to cater specific market segments. - Establish cooperation and partnership with relevant academic and professional institutions in producing new academic programmes. |

We shall: - Encourage academic distinction through cooperation and partnership with individuals and institutions around the world in order to provide the best academic staff. - Encourage the involvement of academic staff in research and development activities. - Establish employment stability for academic staff and offer attractive packages to attract the best experts and academic staff. - Enhance academic staff’s skills and knowledge in all relevant areas. |

To develop teaching and learning processes that are student and technology centric.

We shall: - Promote more online and electronic evaluation systems. - Explore opportunities arising from emerging technologies that will increase diversity in the modes of delivery for learning and teaching. - Make MEDIU’s academic courses more flexible and capable of increasing opportunities and participation of all categories of students. - Improve student retention and increase students’ sense of belonging and to reduce the drop-out rate. |

To diversify academic programmes and maintain their qualities.

We shall: - Achieve full accreditation status for MEDIU’s academic courses. - Establish the Faculty of Education by year 2010. - Continue to introduce at least two new market driven courses (based on “Blue Ocean Strategyâ€) per year per faculty. - Translate some highly demanded academic courses from Arabic into English and vice versa. - Develop quality academic courses offered through a traditional mode of delivery. - Prepare for the establishment of new faculties that will adopt the traditional mode of delivery. |

We shall: - Establish relevant faculties that will adopt a traditional mode of delivery. - Explore and deploy the latest technologies and facilities for teaching and learning purposes. |
