Functions

1.
To implement approved financial policies regarding accounts and budgets and to follow up on their implementation.
2.
To supervise all financial transactions related to the soundness of the accounting system, financial settlements, balancing accounts on a periodic and annual basis and aggregate accounts.
3.
To follow up on and stay informed of all financial transactions with banks.
4.
To prepare annual financial projections for the University and its centres.
5.
To supervise procedures specifically related to financial oversight of the University’s deposit accounts as well as suppliers’ accounts, and to present those results, as well as analyses and financial indicators, to the University higher administration.
6.
To supervise oversight of the University’s bank accounts and make the necessary reconciliations between ledger accounts and account statements.
7.
To maintain oversight of the manner in which financial procedures are conducted and to supervise documents and registers by which such procedures are conducted and recorded and make sure that they are in accord with the financial rules, systems and guidelines of the University.
8.
To execute the procedures required to fulfill the University’s financial obligations in accord with financial laws, to make payments at the appointed times, and to prepare the related financial memoranda and present them to the concerned administrative divisions.
