Halal Haram Issue: Cleansing the heart (Mingguan Malaysia 17/1/2021)
CEO of Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fadlan Mohd. Othman stated that the best morals are to emulate the morals of the Prophet Muhammad SAW in maintaining the trust based on the teachings of Islam itself.
This is following to the recent issue of abuse of halal labels on food products, where related issues will not occur if the party given the task of maintaining the given trust.
“The parties involved must abide by and understand that Muslim consumers are requires to find halal goods and food that is ‘halalan toyyiban’ throughout their lives, so the parties involved must always be sensitive to the matter.
The importance of halal food resources and moral education should be enlivened in the household, thus able to educate the younger Muslims generations in facing the more challenging world of technology in the future”,he told Mingguan Malaysia during the interview session in MEDIU recently.
He said, since the Movement Control Order in March last year, there has been an increase in online student registration at MEDIU and stated that with every challenges of life, there must be a hidden blessings.
