Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) has step forward in extending bridges of cooperation and moving ahead towards achieving its objective and vision, as well as relating to local institutions with extensive experience in halal and Shariah-compliant hospitality and tourism. Recently, MEDIU signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with DHS Hospitality Academy Sdn. Bhd. dan Universal Crescent Standard Center (UCSC) on Wednesday, 1 December 2021.

MEDIU was represented by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fadlan Mohd Othman, meanwhile DHS Hospitality Academy Sdn. Bhd. was represented by the Founder, Dr. Sri Kumar Sivakumaran and Universal Crescent Standard Center (UCSC) by the Chief Executive Officer, Prof. Dr. Norain Othman.

The MoA is a collaboration to create courses in hospitality and tourism based on halal and Shariah-compliant at Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) for graduates of Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or ‘O’ Level; where the course will be based on halal and Shariah- compliant, and will even be involved in organizing short courses as well as special training for communities and organizations through the Lifelong Learning programs.
