Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) welcomed students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Desa Petaling as part of Program Perkampungan Ilmu Siri II 2026, a collaborative initiative between the university and the school aimed at motivating students, strengthening their preparation for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination, and fostering a culture of academic excellence and aspiration towards higher education.
The programme commenced with a welcoming address by Asst. Prof. Dr. Farhana, Director of the Centre for Professional and Social Learning (CPSL), who warmly welcomed the students and teachers. In her speech, she emphasised the importance of education, perseverance, and lifelong learning in achieving academic success, while encouraging students to make the most of the educational opportunities available to build a bright academic and professional future.
The programme continued with an introduction to Al-Madinah International University, during which university representatives presented the faculties, academic programmes, and educational opportunities available to both local and international students. Participants were also given the opportunity to tour the university’s facilities and experience the campus environment, providing them with valuable exposure to university life and inspiring them to pursue higher education.
This programme reflects Al-Madinah International University’s continued commitment to supporting neighbouring government schools by sharing its academic expertise, educational resources, and facilities with the community, while strengthening collaboration with educational institutions to help prepare students for future academic success.
At the conclusion of the programme, SMK Desa Petaling presented a commemorative plaque to Al-Madinah International University in appreciation of the university’s support, cooperation, and valuable contribution towards the success of the programme.
