Under the patronage of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Saad bin Nasser Al-Shathri, Chairman of the Board of governance of Al-Madinah International University, and in the presence of a number of public figures from the Malaysian community, Al-Madinah International University organized on Thursday, December 15, 2022 the fourth virtual convocation ceremony for graduates in the years 2020, 2021 and 2022, with a total of 1,545 male and female graduates from 84 nationalities. The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, after which an introductory video was presented about Al-Madinah International University, its programs and systems. Moreover, the video was followed by the keynote speech by His Excellency Prof. Dr. Saad bin Nasser Al-Shathri In the graduation of 1545 males and females in light of the circumstances the country is going through and the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic. He also expressed his thanks to the university administration represented by its CEO, Dr. Abdullah Saad A. Alarefi.
The second speech was the CEO speech, delivered by Dr. Abdullah Saad A. Alarefi, where he congratulated the graduates for their efforts, stressing that the graduate of Al-Madinah International University must be distinguished in society in order to reflect the noble and moderate values that he or she learned at the university, and also praised the prominent role of the parents, who contributed to the graduates through their support until they reach this success. Dr. Abdullah Alarefi reviewed some of the numbers achieved by the university, as the number of graduates since the establishment of the university until today has reached 4,612 male and female graduates from 93 different nationalities.
The speech was then passed on to the graduate, Shafiqa binti Abdel Nasser, who delivered the graduates’ speech at the ceremony, where she first congratulated her fellow graduates, then thanked the lecturers who made a great effort in making the students’ effort a success until they graduated. After that, Conferment of Degrees began, where degrees were awarded to graduates, starting with graduates of PhD programs, passing through master’s and then bachelor’s degrees, and graduates of the Faculty of of Islamic Sciences were the first to be awarded academic degrees, then graduates of the Faculty of Languages, then graduates of the Faculty of Finance and Administrative Sciences, then graduates from the Faculty of Computer Science, then graduates from the Faculty of Education, and finally graduates from the Faculty of Engineering. In conclusion, the academic senate of the university left the stage, amidst the warmth and joy of the participants and the exchange of commemorative photos and congratulations.
