In the light of enhancing cooperation with international organizations, the Al-Madinah International University organized a meeting via Zoom that brought together the university’s top management, represented by His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Saad A. Alarefi, the University President, and the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation, represented by the Secretary-General of the Organization, His Excellency Ambassador Isiaka A. Imam, in the presence of a number of officials from both parties. During the meeting, aspects of joint cooperation were discussed and the extent to which the university benefits from the programs and works provided by the organization to the countries under its umbrella, including Malaysia, especially in the field of scientific research.

His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Saad A. Alarefi spoke about the university and the importance of the partnership between the two parties, and that the university has the experience and qualified academic staff in preparing and supervising peer-reviewed scientific research. The university also has seven peer-reviewed scientific journals in various specializations. For his part, His Excellency Ambassador Isiaka A. Imam expressed his admiration for the contributions of Al-Madinah International University and its distinguished academic role and the university’s expertise, especially with regard to providing graduate programs and distance education. The two sides discussed the available opportunities for cooperation and that this meeting would be a building block for a memorandum of cooperation between the university and the organization.
