(يَا أَيَّتُهَا النَّفْسُ الْمُطْمَئِنَّةُ ارْجِعِي إِلَى رَبِّكِ رَاضِيَةً مَرْضِيَّةً فَادْخُلِي فِي عِبَادِي وَادْخُلِي جَنَّتِي)
“O reassured soul, return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing. Enter among My servants, and enter My Paradise.”
The Al-Madinah International University family, represented by Asst. Prof. TS. Dr. Ammar Bathich, the Chief Executive Officer of the University, mourns with deep sorrow and grief the passing of H.E. Sheikh Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Ali Al-Oqla, Member of the University’s Board of Governors, who passed away on Tuesday morning, 2 December 2025, after a period of illness.
Al-Madinah International University in Malaysia has lost, with his departure, an eminent scholarly figure whose distinguished contributions spanned more than four decades. He left a remarkable impact in the fields of Islamic sciences, Islamic economics, and academic leadership, and played a notable role in the advancement of Al-Madinah International University through his service as a member of its Board of Governors. Throughout his career, he held several prominent positions, the most notable being his service as Rector of the Islamic University of Madinah.
As the university family mourns this great loss, it extends its heartfelt condolences to the family, relatives, and loved ones of the deceased, praying that Allah the Almighty envelops him with His vast mercy, grants him a place in the highest Paradise, and rewards him generously for his lifelong contributions to knowledge and benevolence.
إنّا لله وإنّا إليه راجعون
Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.
