Al-Madinah International University Organises Health Screening Programme in Collaboration with the Ministry of Health Malaysia

Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) organised a Health Screening Programme in collaboration with the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) through the Cheras District Health Office, as part of the university’s commitment to promoting health awareness and encouraging its staff and students to adopt a healthy lifestyle through regular health screenings for the prevention of diseases.

The programme was open to university staff and students and included a range of basic health assessments, including weight, height, and waist circumference measurements, Body Mass Index (BMI) assessment, blood pressure checks, blood glucose screening, cholesterol screening, as well as smoking status assessment.

The programme received encouraging participation from staff and students, who took advantage of the health services provided and gained valuable insights into their health status through the screenings and consultations conducted by the medical team. The initiative also helped raise awareness of the importance of preventive healthcare and the early detection of health risk factors.

The university emphasised that organising such programmes reflects its commitment to safeguarding the health and well-being of its university community, based on the belief that good health is a fundamental pillar of academic and professional excellence. The university also expressed its appreciation to the Ministry of Health Malaysia and the Cheras District Health Office for their valuable collaboration in making the programme a success.
