Al-Madinah International University Welcomes As’adiyah Islamic University of Indonesia and Signs a Joint Memorandum of Understanding

 

Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) welcomed an academic delegation from As’adiyah Islamic University, Indonesia, on Wednesday, 4 February 2026, as part of an academic visit aimed at strengthening academic collaboration and fostering the exchange of expertise between the two institutions.

The visit included the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for joint cooperation in the areas of scientific research, academic staff exchange, and the organization of scholarly activities and academic courses. This collaboration is expected to contribute to the enhancement of the teaching and learning process and to maximize the mutual benefits of educational and research expertise shared by both universities.

 

The program featured an opening address, followed by a motivational speech delivered to the visiting students by Asst. Prof. Dr. Sami Samir Abdelfattah Abdelkawi, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences. The visit also included a guided tour of the university’s facilities and concluded with an exchange of souvenirs and commemorative photographs.

The MoU signing ceremony was chaired by Asst. Prof. TS. Dr. Ammar Bathich, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Al-Madinah International University. MEDIU was represented by Prof. Dr. Daud Abdul Quadir Elega, Director of International Relations and Dean of the Faculty of Languages, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Sami Samir Abdelfattah Abdelkawi, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences. Meanwhile, As’adiyah Islamic University was represented by Dr. Al-Hajj Ahmad Mu’tamar, First Vice Rector, and Dr. Ikawati Hamzah, Second Vice Rector.
