An MOU was signed on Thursday 15 June 2023 at the campus of Al-Madinah International University in Kuala Lumpur, between MEDIU, represented by its CEO, Dr. Abdullah Saad A. Alarefi, and the Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta, Indonesia, represented by its director, Dr. Sofyan Anif, and a large delegation from the Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta attended the signing. At the beginning, Dr. Abdullah Alarefi welcomed the delegation, stressing that Al-Madinah International University is always seeking to establish cooperative relations with various universities in its vicinity within Malaysia or in Southeast Asia to serve research and cooperation between universities.

On the other hand, Dr. Sofyan Anif expressed his happiness By his presence on the campus of Al-Madinah International University, thanking Dr. Abdullah Alarefi for hosting him and his accompanying delegation on this blessed day. After that, the two universities were introduced, and the faculties and programs were reviewed, followed by speeches from the lecturers and deans of both universities, and the session concluded with the completion of the signing of the MOU, and the exchange of photos and souvenirs.
