Student Fees Collection Procedures (Sept 2020 onwards)

Dear All Students,

Assalammualaikum.

Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) Management decision in regards to the Student Fees Collection Procedure for Sept 2020 onwards as follows:

  1. All student fees are required to be collected by a specified due date.
  2. Students will be given with two options:

Option 1: To pay full tuition fees before registration period end and get 5% discount from the semester fees.

Those who opt for Option 1 and paid 95% of the semester tuition fee, he/she will be given an access to register, or he/she may seek an assistance from the registration department to register.

Option 2: To pay by installment within the semester.

Those who opt for Option 2, three installment dates will appear in the student portal as follow:

  • The student will be given access to register if he/she paid 40% of the semester tuition fee within the registration period according to the academic calendar.
  • In case the student failed to register within add and drop period based on the academic calendar, SAD will send to the student two reminders email within two weeks.
  • Students who did not registered by the end of the fourth week (for on-campus (OC) student) / fifth week (for online student) of the academic calendar, will be suspended.
  • International OC students who did not register in the semester should apply for deferment before the fifth week of the academic calendar.
  • International OC students who did not register and fail to apply for deferment will be terminated and the visa will be automatically canceled.
  • Student have to pay 30% of the semester tuition fee one week before the midterm exam start date.
  • If student fails to pay at the mentioned date, SAD will send to the student the 1st warning email one week before the midterm exam.
  • If the student does not settle his/her payment, the student status will be changed to suspended (S) right after the midterm exam.
  • SAD will send the 2nd warning email to the student after changing the status to suspended and the student will not be able to access the academic record until he/she settle the payment.
  • The student has to pay the last 30% of the semester tuition fee three weeks before the final exam start date.
  • If the student failed to pay as mentioned, SAD will send the 1st warning email to the student three weeks before the final exam.
  • If the student still not settle his/her payment, the student status will be changed to suspended (S) two weeks before the final exam.
  • SAD will send the last warning email to all students with outstanding balance one week before the final exam.

Important Notes:

  1. No students will be allowed to register for the semester without paying tuition fees.
  2. No students will be allowed to sit for the final exam if he/she has an outstanding balance more than (RM300).
  3. No replacement exams will be given for those who failed to sit for the final exam due to financial reasons.
  4. All payments must be settled at least 2 days before the exam date.
  5. The status of student who expected to graduate will not be changed to Alumni and no academic record will be issued to them, unless all outstanding fees are settled.
  6. Excluded from the above, sponsored students
  7. The discount of 5% of the semester fees is excluded from the Option 1 for students who had any discounts of program fees during the previous semesters.
