Brief Summary of Position:

The Graphic Designer position includes the entire process of defining requirements, visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts and photos according to the standard design guidelines. The position also, requires creativity and skills in graphics editing software and attention to detail personality.

Main Job Duties / Responsibilities:

• Gather and determine design requirements liaising with the clients.
• Conceptualize visuals based on gathered / agreed requirements.
• Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material, as well as font style and size.
• Design layouts, images, and typefaces according to the standard design guidelines.
• Incorporate changes recommended by clients into final designs with attention to details.
• Review designs for errors before printing or publishing and suggest improvements if required.
• Perform basic video editing functions:
  1. Adding introduction video, logo, cover, caption, audio effects.
  2. Resizing, cutting and formatting.
  3. Rendering and testing.
• Incorporate MEDIU values, culture and standards to the design.
• Record attendance and daily tasks in the staff portal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• At least Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in graphic / multimedia design or any related field.
• Minimum 1 year working experience as graphic designer / multimedia designer.

Experience:

• Solid knowledge and proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premier, Adobe Illustrator and other graphics / multimedia / editing software.
• Excellent listening and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Exceptional creativity, innovative approach and attention to detail personality.
• Time management skills, deadline driven and End-user oriented.
• Able to work in a team and build effective work relationships.
• An understanding of the latest trends and their role within design and multimedia.
• Aptitude for learning new graphics technologies and stay up to date on the latest design tools and software as well as continually enhance on existing knowledge and skills.
