In conjunction with the celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1446H, a Hari Raya Gathering for all staff was held in a lively atmosphere on 24 April 2025 at the Multipurpose Hall, Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU).

The event was organized with the aim of celebrating Syawal together with the campus community and strengthening the bonds of friendship among lecturers and staff.

The event commenced with an opening speech by the emcee, followed by the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an along with their translation, led by Nursyahmi and Norfaiz, seeking blessings for the smooth running of the program.

A welcoming speech was then delivered by YBhg. Dato’ Dr. Alhazmi Saeed Nowifea, Chief Executive of Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU). Additionally, the event took the opportunity to introduce MEDIU’s new management and academic staff members, namely Prof. Dato’ Seri Ir. Dr. Kamal Nasharuddin bin Mustapha, Prof. Ts. Dr. Hajjah Fatimah binti Dato’ Ahmad, and Prof. Dr. Abdullah bin Mohd Zin.

A variety of traditional dishes such as lemang, rendang, satay, nasi kerabu, and festive cookies were served for everyone to enjoy. Several exciting activities also enlivened the event, including a Hari Raya song and cookie quiz, a best traditional attire contest, and a gift exchange session among lecturers and staff.

The encouraging turnout and warm atmosphere throughout the event truly reflected the festive spirit of Eid al-Fitr. Our highest appreciation and heartfelt thanks are extended to all parties involved in making this program a success.
