His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Saad A. Alarefi, CEO of Al-Madinah International University, received in his office at the university’s headquarters in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, a delegation from the World Association for Alumni of Saudi Universities (Malaysia) WASIM, represented by Mr. Ahmed Hashmi bin Che Fa, President of the Association, and Mr. Hakim bin Zainal Secretary General of the Association and Mr. Shams Al-Hakim bin Abdul Samad, Deputy Secretary-General. Dr. Abdullah A. Alarefi welcomed the delegation, expressed his happiness with this visit, and praised the scholarships provided by the government of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to Malaysian students to study in Saudi universities.

He also praised the role of the association in strengthening the brotherly ties between the two peoples. He also expressed the readiness of Al-Madinah International University to provide all possible support and facilities to the Association in Malaysia and to assist graduates of Saudi universities in Malaysia to pursue their education at Al-Madinah International University. For his part, Mr. Ahmed Hashemi gave an explanation about the role of the association and praised the prominent role played by the University in the countries of the Islamic world, particularly Malaysia, looking forward to cooperation in the near future.
